A Word from Josh: Have you ever heard of a town called Gresham, Wisconsin? Well, neither did we until we were booked to play there. Gresham is a town of less than 600 people located about 50 miles northwest of Green Bay. Actually, we played at Captain's Cove which is a family-oriented campground north of Gresham. This is a bit outside of our normal travel radius so most of the crowd was experiencing Cherry Pie for the first time. We played on a nice temporary stage set up in a parking lot with a mini-golf course behind us and facing the bar/restaurant and Island Lake where several young campers were still swimming as our show began. The show went well and we seemed to gain a few new fans which is always nice. The weather was perfect, which is important because nothing is covered at this gig. However, as we finished the show word came in that a rainstorm was heading towards our location so we packed up in record time. Overall, a very pleasant adventure and we thank the fine folks at Captain's Cove for their hospitality. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? : "" |
