A Word from Josh:
This was a pretty cool show. We played on the Coors Stage which faces East near the Main Stage to the north. Another local band Union Cadillac played on the Coors Stage before us. The Main Stage featured 80s Supergroups Slaughter and Great White. The proximity of the stages meant that we were supposed to play whenever nobody was playing on the Main Stage. We played for an hour before Slaughter and then a short set before Great White and then again after Great White until midnight. This was a pretty cool arrangement, except for the fact that Slaughter and Great White did not stick to the timetable we had been given. Slaughter played a very short set. In fact, I had just purchased one of those big-ass pork chops on a stick when I heard Mark Slaughter thank the crowd indicating the end of their show. I had to run back to the stage with barbeque sauce on my hands and didn't get to eat the pork chop until after our intermission set. Yes, the Rock N'Roll Lifestyle can be messy. On the other hand Great White played quite a bit longer than expected which actually balanced out the evening rather nicely. As their show finally came to an end we fired up the Pie again and drew a huge crowd coming from the Main Stage. As Amazon would say... "People who enjoy Great White also enjoy Cherry Pie." Boy, they sure did enjoy Cherry Pie as our final set put the appropriate penultimate Cherry on a festive Saturday night at the Waukesha County Fair. Still there was more fun to be had even when the Fair was over. John and I went across the street to Rooters where our friends King of Clubs was playing for a pretty kick-ass after-fair party. Overall it was a very enjoyable evening.     --Josh
