A Word from Josh: So another great year has come to a spectacular close. This was indeed a special good time, perhaps heightened by the relief that we all survived the so-called "Mayan Apocalypse." Of course, everybody knows Cherry Pie on New Year's Eve is gonna be a great time, but it's important not to take it for granted. We love what we do because of all the friends we've made doing it. Sure, it starts with a fundamental love of music, but it's the unbelievable support and enthusiasm that you all bring to the shows that make it a career and a lifestyle for us; one that I wouldn't trade for anything. Perhaps it's cliché to say that musicians are nothing without their audience, but the reflection that inevitably comes at year's end affords a great opportunity to keep perspective on how true that is and how much we appreciate how you have made so many good things in our lives possible. This show, like so many before them, was everything a show like this should be... any why not? It's the Pie in Madison on New Year's Eve and there's nothing better than that. We want to thank you all for making it that way. -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Barbara: "You guys rocked...great way to bring in the New Year...thanks for a great show. And I so want you to play at Jefferson county fair!!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)" Tennessee Love: "Awesome night with the group. Thanks for the chance. Happy New Years" Bittersweeteus: "I've always liked Badger Bowl! It's a great venue to see CherryPie whenever they are in the Madison area. You can see the band no matter where you plan to sit or stand. To end 2012 and start 2013, CherryPie put on one hell of a show! They took that stage by storm and ruled it all night. Their performance was loud and rocking hard. And John, who is one gorgeous man and very intoxicating, gave a show that was full of fun-filled antics, great moves, and he totally utilized the whole stage to help everyone feel one with the band and to enjoy the sounds of this awesome 80's classic rock band. I had a blast bringing in the New Year with this fabulous band and being surrounded by plenty of friends as we rocked in the New Year. I also want to say, even though it's a little late, the rendition of "Silent Night" was very well orchestrated. With John's fabulous vocals and the unison of the band members musical professionalism, it really brought the true meaning of Christmas to life. I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I'm so looking forward to see what the PIE will bring to us as they blaze a new trail through 2013!" Fans of the Pie: "What an awesome way to bring in the New Year! Had one of the best times ever!!! Like the way "Silent Night was done. I don't remember ever hearing it done like that before. Loved John's vocals-such an amazing range, and one talented man. Looking forward to see you guys again soon!" |
