A Word from Josh: Mo's is a different kind of venue for us. For one thing, as a classy restaurant by day, we were required to set up most of our equipment in the morning, a pretty rough proposition following a late gig in Appleton last night. In particular, Matt and Johann of our production crew had to go way above and beyond by loading in the sound and lights a mere five hours after leaving Mill Creek. The stage is square-shaped and located in the corner of the room which created interesting challenges with band positioning and front lighting. But the bigger problem is that the stage in only a few inches high, rendering many people in the room unable to see us during the show. Of course, this issue was exacerbated by the fact that the room was packed with Pie fanatics, many of whom rocked out as close to the stage as they could. So, I suppose this was a problem that we were glad to have. OK, enough bitching. Overall, the night was a huge success as we delivered a strong show to an even stronger crowd. So many friends were on hand having a great time. We were also introduced to some people who were seeing the band for the first time (hard to believe, I know). It was nice to know that, for at least one more night, people around here still love their Pie! --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? |
