A Word from Josh:
If some is good, more is better. Last night's show in Big Bend was good, tonight's show at the Bean was a good old-fashioned, off-the-hook, snot-kicking, barn-burner. I don't know why we get some of the craziest crowds here. Perhaps it's the vestigial spirit from its by-gone days as a country bar. All we need now is chicken wire in front of the stage. A lot of stuff was going on at tonight's show including a slew of birthday celebrations. Our buddy Lindsey was one of the birthday honorees and she brought quite a party with her. In other news, our own Kevin was commemorating his 81st show as our stage tech (AKA roadie). 81 may seem like an arbitrary number, but it's one more than any other roadie we've ever had. As John pointed out on stage, we were celebrating Kevin's unprecedented ability to tolerate working for us. In fact, Kevin is showing no signs of letting up as his hard work and creative thinking continues to improve our show every week. So we shook his hand, shared a drink and put him back to work (and docked him 10 minutes of pay for the time he wasted celebrating the occasion). It's a glamorous life indeed. Looking ahead, we've got two festival shows in June at nearby Mount Horeb and Verona. If tonight is any indication, those shows will be frickin' spectacular events. 'See you then.     --Josh

"Diary of a Roadie"
By Kevin
Tonight we hop on ou to the Bean for a pre-Easter show at one of our favorite venues. Good weather, great staff, and a great crowd made this one fun night. Let's roll... [more]

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Brian:
"Hell of a show, guys. Love the addition of Eye of the Tiger! I was pleasantly suprised when i couldn't hear the next day. See you at Summerfest, State Fair and concerts in between!"

AnnMarie:
"Dry Bean 4/23/11 - ytVery first time seeing the band -heard lots of good things so I was excited to see them in action. Cherry Pie did not disappoint! Took me back to 1988 & the classic hair band music I love! Had to give you guys my Arabian Battle Cry in response to your Def Leppard songs for sure!!!!"

Bittersweeteus:
"Here we go again! Two shows back to back on different nights. The first one, Coach House, started out great but lost it's momentum during the night. There's nothing wrong with being spontaneous but when you add too many distractions to it it interferes with the rhythm of the show and takes away from it. The second show, The Bean, was much better. CherryPie's performance was in rare form and put on a kickass show. And John, has what it takes and knows how to give it in his performance. All in all I have to say, despite some things, both shows were great and quite entertaining!"

Sara:
"Awesome show at the Dry Bean. I've been Pied 4 times, and each show is better than the last. Big thanks for singing my friend a birthday song. You guys rock!!!"

More pie fans:
"Great show guys. Had a blast! Looking forward to the outside shows, can't come soon enough. See you soon!"
