A Word from Josh: Few places feel like home to us as much as the Dry Bean Saloon, one of our most regular rooms for over eight years. Tonight's crowd was a bit late-arriving (perhaps coming straight from the state capital building) so we were somewhat pleasantly surprised when we emerged from the dressing area and took the stage in front of a full house ready to party. And I think we responded with a show worthy of such a party. Madison has been in the news a lot lately due to some differences of opinion among lawmakers and unions and I'm sure there were many in attendance tonight with strong opinions on both sides, but you'd never know it because at a Pie show it's not about the politics... it's about the weasel races... er, I mean it's about music, friends and good times. One thing we can all agree on is that nothing takes the edge off of a day of protesting and counter-protesting and counter-counter-protesting like getting buzzed with your buddies while grooving to some awesome 80s Hair Metal. Madison, you ROCK! --Josh "Diary of a Roadie" By Kevin 4:35pm - Leave K-Town (Kenosha) for trip to Dave’s House to catch my ride. (No stop for food tonight) 5:40pm - Arrive at Club Trash (Frankie’s house) to pick him up...[more] Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Janet: "I saw Cherry Pie for the first time and was so impressed! What a great band" LongTimeFan: "Great show! Especially liked Frankie's drum solo. I almost thought you might break out into VH's 'Hot For Teacher'! Bring that one back! Thanks for a fun time!" Bittersweeteus: "Going out tonight, wound up tight, ready to rip up the dance floor. CherryPie put on two unique shows that were fast and off the wall crazy. Their performances were ass-kicking, heart-pumping and got the fans adrenaline rising. And John, who adds his own enticing, fun-loving charisma to his well driven aggressiveness, knows how to keep the fans psyched and in a rock'n'roll frenzy. Both shows were great and way beyond impressive. They left me invigorated and ready to face another week of work plus, get geared up for, yet, another show of the PIE!" pie fans: "Awesome show! One of the best! You guys really know how to rock! See you real soon-Keep on Rockin!" CP FANS: "Awesome show! One of the best I have seen from you guys in awhile. Had nothing but a good time- And John-your talent and energy are amazing. You made the show fun-thank you and the rest of the band. Looking forward to the next time-Keep Rockin!" |
