A Word from Josh: Summer just doesn't want to go away. We had another beautiful day with temperatures reaching the 80s. But that didn't stop people from packing the Badger Bowl to rock out with The Pie. I think we put on a solid show and the crowd voiced their appreciation all night. We saw a lot of friends and the mood was relaxed. This was typified with a rare performance of the Journey classic "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'" which turned into a particularly casual extended sing-along featuring a stint by Shane on drums. While we covered the usual variety of material over the course of the night, we ended the show with several very heavy rockers which were met with great approval. It would be great (although admittedly unlikely) if the warm weather were to continue another week as we have an outdoor show to play next Friday night right across the highway at Willow Island. We'll be changing up the set list quite a bit, so we hope to see many of you getting another helping of Pie. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Amy: "I have been watching you guys off and on since you were "Hit Squad" saw you last night with my best friend and we had a blast reminiscing the 80's our high school experiences! You truly bring the 80's feel back to life and LOVE IT! Keep doing what you are doing!! Frank I could watch you all night playing those drums how fun!! ?" Keri: "It was great!" Karleen: "Awesome show! The energy you guys put into the show.....even up to the end when John is jumping up in the air is unbelieveable. Also had the great opportunity to meet and talk to John in between sets....he sure can hit those high notes. Hope to make it again Friday." Bittersweeteus: "CherryPie brought more excitement to an end of a beautiful fall day. Their performance was exhilarating and fun. And John, who looked absolutely great wearing two awesome looking attitude ridden shirts throughout the show, showed us his fun-loving, hard-rocking demeanor as he rocked throughout the night. The evening turned out to be great from the videos by various artists which included the head-banging sounds of Slayer to CherryPie ending it with their own hard-core rocking songs and John wearing his Favorite team shirt, the PACKERS!!" (Anonymous): "Can't get enough of the band-you guys rock! Love the new songs and watching the band, it just keeps getting better and better. Had a great time-see you soon!" Kim: "You guys rocked it, as usual!! Hopin to check you out at the brewfest (even though I don't like beer!)" Jeff: "It was awesome!" |
