What started out as a typically reserved family-oriented Fourth of July Picnic ended with strong evidence that today's younger generation does, in fact, rock with authority and vigor. Our final set saw the first few rows from the stage highly concentrated with the under-fifteen crowd. We kept our foot on the gas and these youngsters hung with us to the very last note, even singing along to songs by Motley Crue, Judas Priest and Metallica. Who knew? We were so impressed that we invited a few of them on stage to participate. Our buddy Mike channeled his inner-Paul McCartney with some left-handed bass on "Talk Dirty to Me". A bit later a regally-quaffed 14-year-old Quinton had the whole tent buzzing with his Frankie-inspired drumming on "Kickstart My Heart." He brought the 80s attitude in droves and the crowd responded. This youth movement was an inspiration on a night that was already rousing with an awesome fireworks display celebrating our country's birthday. Thanks for the yankee-doodle-tastic time. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Amber: "Had a good time! Thanx :)" Dawne: "Oh yeah, had wayyyyyy too much fun.
