A Word from Josh: Happy National Cherry Pie Day!!! It was John's idea to turn this occasion into a Food Drive centered on this Gig and it may have been the best idea he's ever had (aside from the Minnesota Vikings testicle warmers). 97.3 FM The Brew got on board to support the effort and the result was our best show of the year. The crowd filed in, filling barrels of food donations along the way, and filling Rooters with die-hard rock fans ready to burst. The excitement built up before the show in way we rarely see. The crowd roared with anticipation even before we played a note. It was a great way to get the show started and it just kept on rocking from there. So many people, so many familiar faces, some of whom, drawn by the event, we had not seen in a while. Our friends from Naughty Chair were on hand spreading good cheer, largely via the consumption of large amounts of alcohol. A couple of them even joined us on stage for a tune. Thank you to everybody for the support of the cause, the support of the band and the awesome time bringing the Rock. We have often said that we started playing instruments as kids in order to have rock star moments like this. Now, let's do it all again on April 3rd when we'll be back to Rooters to officially celebrate our 10th Anniversary as a band. There will be lots of special treats and surprises. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Angela: "Enjoyed the show. You guys are so awesume. Fan: "Great show and great turnout! Was great to help out those in need of food as well. The video beforehand was fun as well!" mike: "Nothing like a night in apple city and a serving of "pie." Great show guys. Joint was rockn and filled with hotties. Jenny the fisherman, u are breathtaking. U left this pie fan with the backwards red hat gasping 4 air. Wish i would have had the nerve to approach u. Can't wait to c y'all in the Fdl in April." The General: "Awesome show guys, loved the new projected image and the video clips/ pictures before dropping the curtain. An excellent 2 sets as usual. Food drive was an excellent idea! I don't think I have ever seen rooters that packed! Great job see ya on the 3rd." Jeanine: "It was a GREAT show!! I sure MISSED YOU!! LOVE YOU GUYS ALWAYS!!" Lori: "Awesome show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!What a big crowd! I brought my bag of canned goods for the cause." Bittersweeteus: "There's nothing like letting the good times roll while listening to music performed by an outstanding rock cover band, CherryPie! CherryPie knows how to put you into another dimension that takes you away and frees your soul. And John, who at any show is a sharply dressed man plus possesses a charisma that is irresistible, knows how to carry us away to an era that was fun and wild. This show was eccentric and also special cause due to John, who has a compassion for others and can gather the support of many a fan, arranged a desperately needed benefit that, with all of our support, can help stamp out hunger. And before I end, if we all work together to help those in need, eventually we'll all live in a better world." Monica: "U guys ROCKED DA HOUSE as always! Hands down the best Rock band round these parts! Metal Men gets the gas face!" Amanda: "You guys had a great show! It was good to see you again." |
