A Word from Josh:
This was our fifth straight year playing this event and it remains one of our most special traditions. As we arrived at the park everybody was buzzing about the recent spate of celebrity deaths. We played a lot of Michael Jackson riffs during our soundcheck. We even considered playing some MJ during the show but none of knew enough lyrics to any of the songs. Still, I don't think there's any better tribute to the King of Pop than hearing Frankie repeatedly shrieking the hook from "Dirty Diana." A thunderstorm came through shortly before showtime bringing a lightning display that had everybody "Oooing and Ahhhing" like at a fireworks show. We waited out the heavy rainfall which didn't last too long and then started our own show. The weather may have hurt attendance, but not by much. We quickly had the pavilion full with the usual rabble-rousers and hot chicks partying with the Pie. We'll be back in the area in less than three weeks when we play at the Fond du Lac County Fair on July 17. Hopefully our friends in Theresa will come show them how it's done.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Bittersweeteus:
"There's no better way to explain this show but as a hat-ripping time! CherryPie's performance was hard-core from the beginning. They never let up giving us those heart-pounding, adrenaline flowing, high-energized rock'n'roll songs. They flowed from one song to the next. And John, who has the best attitude, aggressiveness, and definitely has the looks that kill and a physique to match, rocked everyone's world with his strong vocals and high-spirits. I wish I could go back and relive that night because I was greatly impressed with the show and other things that are just too many to mention. This show is one of those shows that I definitely will remember and relive in my mind over and over."

Fan:
"Hey, don't you guys take pictures anymore ? :("

Impressed fans:
"Awesome show! My friends and I had a great time, and hope you play there again next year. Was lots of fun. My friend would like to thank Josh for the "hug" she got. I enjoyed talking to John and watching him on stage. Looking forward to the next time-Keep on Rockin!"
