A Word from Josh: Over the years Cherry Pie has established many traditions, none more prominent than playing at Rooters on New Year's Eve. John takes pride in how much of a mess he can make during these shows. It's all part of the party atmosphere and rings in the new year. I know I was in a wonderful mood all evening and most everybody I saw seemed to feel the same way. We had a fun time with some determined rock fans who know how to raise the roof. Indeed, I saw a few bare boobs on the dance floor, which is usually a good sign. Now, a lot has been made about how 2008 sucked in a lot of ways. But I must say, it was a pretty good year for us as a band and for me personally. So, here's to fixing the world in 2009 and continuing to rock it hard! --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Jennie: "You know how to throw a party! Best New Years yet!" fan: "Was a great time! a great way to start off the new year . Thanks guys as always ! Hope for some more good times in 2009'." Colleen: "Great way to rock in the New Year. And to whoever left their beer bottle at the bottom of the stairs.....Thanks. Next time put it in a trash can where it belongs!!" Bittersweeteus: "Even though the turnout was less than expected, there still was enough enthusiastic fans to celebrate the birth of a new year. To add to this concoction of partiers, party favors, and drink, was CherryPie. They brillantly performed each song that contained it's own unique riff. And John, who's more than meets the eye, has his own unique style, and the most virile physique, spiced up the show with his antics and special way of showing everyone a great time. It was a pleasure to celebrate the initiation of a new year with a phenominal band, CherryPie, and thanks to the many fans who helped make the initiation a success. And by the way, love the picture of you, John! Like the attitude and the sunglasses accentuates it." CQQKIEMQNSTER: "I just wanted to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Rochelle for the pitchers of alabama slammers, more than worth it! And to call out to the people who didnt show up!You know who you are! After many years of the New Years tradition, what else is there other than CHERRY PIE! I say to y'all GET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!!!!! LOVE CQQKIEMQNSTER" Debbie & Gary: "Well it was the 4th year in a roll spending New Years at Rooters with you guys and the wonderful friends that we have made in the Cherry Pie Family. We had a wonderful time and I feel everyone else did also. You guys always put on an awsome show and make everyone feel wonderful. I don't remember what New Years Eve was like without you guys. And to tell the truth I don't want to remember. These past 4 years have be wonderful. Plan to keep up the tradition for years to come. Looking forward to a great year with you guys. Parting and having wonderful time. Thanks for all the pictures. xoxoxox" |
