The opening sentence to every journal entry should really make an impact. Right!? I guess mine didn’t. HA! The second sentence should be a descriptive one. Damn! I’m batting 0-2. If I go 0-3 I’ll be right there with the Cubs! Does anyone have a broom?! HA! Yeahhhhhh Davey! I think I’ll SWEEP my floor right now, then tomorrow at work I’ll say, "I SWEPT my floor last night." At least The Brew Crew won –AH-- game. OK... Now we can talk about Saturdays show at Rooters. Here are some basic facts. There were 450+ people in attendance, The Camel Crew was in the house, My DC AFH’s were in attendance, Rooters is Waukesha’s Premier ROCK Venue hands down, and much, much, more! Wolverines! (Red Dawn, anyone?!) I hear these Cherry Pie guys are some bad dudes. I mean, BAD ASS dudes. That’s right! There was some serious rocking going on. I know cause I was leading the pack! Sometimes it’s hard for Swenner to keep up with me. I mean... You’ve got an OLD tire with not much tread, and a brand new one with lots of shine. An old tire will still GITCHA where you need to go, but a new tire will be a much smoother ride! What kind of tire do you like? Lets see... Josh pulled The TAM, his bride to be, on stage to sing Happy Birthday. She’s aging a lot better than him, that’s for sure. This will be the 11th year she has celebrated her 29th Birthday. Hey babe, you still look 36 TA ME! HA! Oh it feels so good to be 26. Moving on... Josh’s guitar decided it didn’t feel like playing the break down part in Kickstart My Heart. I personally think the boy needs a new set of cables, F.O.R.H.I.S. E.N.T.I.R.E.R.I.G. Anyways, Dave’s cables did just fine taking over for Josh’s flat line. Now we’re going to count to ten students. AH yeah, I love Rooters! Bill and his staff of hot bartenders know how to make a band feel welcome. The die-hard (I’d love to do that, you know, be in the movie I mean) Cherry Pie fans that continue to rock with us on a weekly basis, Thank You! Would you people like to stay here, in this house with me, and continue to rock my world?! Hey wait! Lets not forget about the backbone of the band. No not me. Ok ME! I’m talking about Mr. Shane "I’ve got a big bass" Johnson. I had to change his last name to protect his real identity. He is in the CNIA you know. Central No-Intelligence Agency. That’s right. Mr. Shane B. Johnson also gave a stellar performance. Mr. Big Johnson LAID down SOME AWHFULLY big notes! That's what happens when you gots-A 5-string. Way to go BJ! We’re all pulling for ya. Pulling for ya... Get it... Ah... Forget it! Tough crowd! FUN NIGHT, Good times! Until next time... This is The Trash securing! Driver out! Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? julieanne: "You guys really rocked the house. Thanx Shane 4 taking that pic w/me. You r HOT! Ur Serbian East side fan............" Jessica: "This was my fourth time seeing Cherry Pie since I discovered them back in may and they were great! It was probably the closest I have ever been to the stage and let's just say me and my friend had a great view.(We could totally tell that someone wasn't wearing any underwear LOL) Thanks for another great show!" Mari: "It was a lovely autumn night for our first time at Rooters. Favorite songs of the night Oh Leah and the return of the Eye of the Tiger. John looked the part with his boxing gloves and one handed pushups. See you soon." Bittersweeteus: "They say three's a charm, well it rings true when you put CherryPie, Rooter's, and free admission into one fantastic night! It was customer appreciation night and CherryPie greeted us with an excellent rendition of 80's classic rock songs that we all know and love. They performed each song with great diligence and perfection. And John, sporting his attitude ridden Slayer shirts, gave a performance that was exhuberant, a bit on the wildside, and put everyone into a rock and roll frenzy. It was an awesome show and it was disappointing when the crazy train ride came to an end. But I'll be waiting at the next stop for another venturesome ride. In closing, I want to wish you luck on your long excursion and hope it is safe and adventurous. Plus, as John being an old tire, no way, he's more like a top of the line performance tire, durable and made to take those high adrenaline speeds." Underwearless: "Sure, the frontman and bassist, names withheld to protect the innocent, fly free and jump around when IT needs a hands-free adjustment. When IT needs airing, they use the ShaLo stance or head banding – the flying hair creates a breeze…And you thought they were just entertaining us. Now you know the truth or not." |
