A Word from Josh: BuBs Irish Pub has been a part of our regular rotation for less than two years, yet we've long known it to be a sure-fire good time. Tonight's show was no exception. As the first club show of the season, it wasn't as packed as usual, but a weak show here is better than a strong one many other places. We'd like to thank Dave Schoepke of the WAMI-Award-winning band Boxkar for making this show possible by filling in on drums for the evening. This was the third time he has helped us out like this and we really appreciate him putting up with us. The show went pretty smoothly, even when several young ladies stormed the stage and danced with us during "Round and Round." After finishing the song I instinctively started singing "Sex and Beer." The end of the show was kind of unique. We finished the second set with a few very heavy-hitting songs and then came back with the decidedly more mellow "Don't Stop Believing" for an encore. I wasn't sure this would work with the crowd, but it went over great. Thanks BuBs for a great time and we look forward to coming back in November. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Melisa: "I missed Ain't Talking 'Bout Love?!? Agh. Rule #1: Never leave a CP show early. Great job guys!" Lisa: "Thank you sooooo much for making my birthday a night to remember. You guys truly are the best." Bittersweeteus: "The night started out with a eerie feel to it. It was sort of quiet and mellow due to the fact that you didn't hear the band doing their usual sound check. That all seemed to dissipate once the guys started their performance. They brought life to this quaint bar. John, whose suave and sophisticated demeanor that was greatly emphazied through his sleek attire, drove the fans into a whirlwind of rock'n'roll craziness. These CP guys sure do show that metal health will drive you mad!!" |
