A Word from Josh: It was a dark and rainy night... What's wrong with this picture? It's December 22 gosh durnit. I want some f***ing snow and I want it now!... ahem, but I digress. At the start of Saturday night's show at Sir Buk's I was feeling lower than a plumber's trousers because of the un-Xmassy weather and what appeared to be a disappointing turn-out in a room that has been so good to us in the past. Oh, I of little faith should know better. The crowd early on was modest in size, but just as bat-shit crazy as usual. Yeah, it was fun, and eventually the room filled up with even more rocked-up MoFo's who treated us right with antics on the dance floor that had to be seen to be believed. We helped our friend Jessy celebrate her birthday, which, you know is becoming quite a habit lately. So many people have been wanting to spend their birthdays partying with Cherry Pie I was thinking that maybe we should change our name to the Nitty Gritty. Plus, a lot of the time we can't be sure if someone really has a birthday close to a show date or if they're just yanking our chain. John suggested that we start checking IDs in the future (J/K). Anyway, the night turned out really great, dispite the lack of snow. Monroe has always known how to rock. In fact, we sure would like it if some of you Monroe locals were to help us bring in the new year up the road in Madison. Yeah, uh... that would be cool. Peace, out ;-x - Josh |
