A Word from Josh: Wow, another great Milwaukee area show. Kelly's is a BIG room and we finally managed to fill it pretty well (we're talkin' about 500 people). This despite the fact that our friends The Toys were playing just 8 miles up the road. I spoke to many people who were seeing us for the first or second time and who considered themselves "hooked" on Cherry Pie. It really feels like the snowball is getting pretty big and picking up speed. As has been the growing trend, this crowd was lively with lots of birthday parties, hot babes and dirty dancing. In fact, some of the activities in the crowd proved quite distracting to us as we tried to play. We didn't unveil any new songs this show, but we did have a debut of a different kind. Yes, after almost two years, we finally now have T-shirts for sale! Let me tell you, our logo has never looked better than on the chests of our fans! Now that our entrepreneurial spirit has finally kicked in, I think you can look forward to other Cherry Pie merchandise in the near future including hats, jackets, tube tops, house coats, lighters, mugs, lunch boxes, hand puppets, tea cozies and coloring books. Yes, the Cherry Pie juggernaut is in full force, both on stage and in the corporate boardrooms of Madison Avenue! Well, perhaps not, but we definitely had a rocking great time at Kelly's. Thanks to all of you who helped make it another breakthrough night for us. - Josh |
