A Word from Josh: This was our second show in a row in a club that was new to us. This time the results were spectacular as our Milwaukee following was out in full force to pack the room beyond capacity. We are very grateful to all of you who helped send a message to this very cool bar that had been reluctant to hire us. Hijinx abounded as we honored several birthdays in the crowd and had several guest musicians sit in with us including Junior from The Boogiemen and all the members of Whiskey Richard. We also debuted three songs that are new to us including two Motley Crue classics in response to many requests at past shows (see, sometimes bugging us does pay off). Amidst all the mayhem we also managed to pay a brief tribute to George Harrison who passed away yesterday. Of course, there were many familiar faces in the crowd including many good friends and "regulars" as well as people we see often but have never actually met. I was pleased to finally meet Lynn and Patty who are veterans of many of our Madison area shows. Dawn Farris was there in all her glory grooving on her favorite Bon Jovi tunes and offering a critique on our choices in underwear. She promises a massive "End of the Semester" party with many of her college friends at next week's Cherry Pie show at Kelly's Bleachers II. We were also pleased to see the very lovely Marlena Tzakis and Linda Phanhmahavong back at a CP show after a long absense (well, it seemed long to us). Down the stretch John commented, "Wow, this is the kind of night you wish would never end." Well, although the night did end, not to worry... as always, the fun will resume at the next show - see you there. - Josh |
