A Word from Jody K. (fan):
As some of you know, I live in Des Moines, Iowa. I have been doing the CP thing for a year and half. You might know I am the one who made Josh's stage clothes back in May. Gotta love the pants (you don't think a big freak like that gets that kind of stuff off of the rack, do ya?). I always make sure I hit a CP show when I am in town. Well I made sure to bring my own little party with me for this show. I brought my lifelong best friend Dana (she rocks) and 5 Cherry Pie virgins to the show. Jeff (Dana's boyfriend), Loulou, Morine, my rapper friends B-Down and Rodney. When we got there early we were defiantly ready to party. We had no problem doing so with the help of Ice Cold beer and my other friends Jessy and Heather. We took the bar by storm and filled the whole front of the dance floor with tables and chairs. I did miss my good friend Maribeth that couldn't make it, next time babe! When the band took the stage things started slow with no one dancing yet. After the 2nd song John invited the crowd to dance, so dance we did. It was like the great one had spoken. The dance floor filled to the rim and didn't change all night. One guy dancing all night was truly from the 80's doing his best impression ofGeorge Micheal's "wake me up before we go go" . Man does that bring back memories. (heh heh) As always, the guys put on a great show even for our intimate gathering of only about 100 +. The guys still played like they were playing for a million. The show was filled with the usual events that make the ladies come back time and time again. Shane took his turn at the mic and had gals lined up on stage for the Bumper Sticker on the ass treatment. (Which I still haven't gotten, hint hint) My favorite contestant was Jasmyn's Mom. She had it all going on up there shaken her thang. She was out dancing all night with Jas and Jen. They were not the only Mom and daughters out there and all were holding there own partying it up. We also got hit with the confetti gun and played with it all night long. I had fun dancing to my personal favorites, "Poor Some Sugar on Me", "Uncle Toms Cabin", and "Bed of Roses". I especially enjoyed hearing Josh and Shane sing there Billy Idol songs. The energy the guys possess is incredible. They don't slow down. I can't believe that after all the moves John and the guys do all night long they never slow down. They had a guest musician Jim Chiello that came and played with them. As with every show, it was over too soon and even with out an encore. Apparently the guys played a little to loud for the neighbors liking so they were told they couldn't do one. WE were still wanting to party on, so we did till they herded us out. The bar staff was great. Thanks for a great show and I will see you all in a few months. But you never know when I will show up. (wink) hehe Thanks, - Jody from Iowa |
