A Word from Josh: It's November. That means that, for most folks, entertainment moves indoors. This was quite evident as the Badger Bowl provided a full house for our show. A freshly tweaked set list managed to pack the dance floor early and often. The atmosphere was electric as the crowd consisted of all types the usual assortment hot babes, rocker dudes, barflies and "regular" folks plus some real oddballs who served to make the night even more interesting. Some of you may recall that our friend Brandi celebrated her birthday at one of our shows a couple of weeks ago, largely with the help of Maribeth Luedtke. Well, tonight Brandi was able to return the favor by helping celebrate Maribeth's birthday. Of course, John made the most of it by bringing Maribeth up on stage and making her read her birthday card aloud, complete with pop-up penis and oral sex references. Hell, we LIVE for that stuff!!! We also live for some of the behavior demonstrated on the dance floor. We try to put on an entertaining show on stage, but I couldn't help but feel outdone by this crowd. Of course, part of what I'm talking about is all the "dirty dancing" that was going on. One woman in particular seemed determined to give her friend a gynocological exam right there on the dance floor! (Is that kind of stuff legal at the Badger Bowl?) The crowd's enthusiasm was riding high during "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'" when John was leading the sing-along section and was getting a lot more volunteers than we had time to indulge. One couple that managed to get on mic changed the lyrics on us, singing "Na na na na na Cherry Pie rocks!". But as great as the night was, I think it's safe to expect that our next time at the Badger Bowl will be even better. That's because it will be on New Year's Eve. That's right!... twice the fun, twice the excitement and three times the mess!!! - Josh |
