Faces in the Crowd |
A Word from Dawn F. (off-duty bartender): Saturday was a blast! As usual Cherry Pie did a fantastic job of entertaining all! I was glad to see many friends together at the same place. I know a lot of the bar regulars because I work there but there were also some "CP regulars" that I was happy to see. Of course it is always fun when Shelia and Stephanie show up. They are always good for dancing your a** off! Many of my school friends showed up as well: Kris, Keri, Kim, Tracey and Lisa. All these women and one great band, mixed with some beer and Bon Jovi and you've got a night to remember! It seems like there is always some type of technical catastrophe when the guys play and tonight was no different... Nick broke one of his "thingies" (as Josh and I giggled over the word, I think it was a cymbal). I hope it wasn't too serious. I can never really tell when things break down, the guys just always sound good. As for the crowd - they were wild. I think it took some probing by John to get them dancing but once they started it was all over. It is always hard to fill such a large room but the boys never seem to have a problem getting it done. It is hard to imagine all the hard work that goes into a show - by working at the bar you see this aspect. It took hours to set up and hours to break down and go home. I hope that people appreciate "all" the people that make up the Cherry Pie show. I must say that it wasn't the same without my best friend Tammy - she was surely missed. Without her we couldn't have a "taco party" that Josh loved so much (back on September 20) but I was able to make a "Swenner Special" (sausage pizza) for the guys at the end of the night, I hope that tied these hungry guys over. I hope that everyone had as much fun as my friends and I did.....until next time......make it a great day! - Dawn |
