Band on Stage |
Faces in the Crowd |
A Word from Josh: We'd like to thank Bob McFarland and all the other people at Hal's Harley Davidson for letting us take some promo photos of the band with some of their cycles just a few hours before showtime. We hope to make use of those pictures in our next poster design. When we got to the club members of the light crew Geoff, Brandon and Rich were working on their latest innovation to improve our stage show: A large video screen behind Nick's drums showing images from a live video feed of the show mixed with computer generated color patterns. From where we stood it seemed like it worked pretty well and we look forward to getting more creative with it in the future. The crowd was very supportive from the first notes and included members of the bands The Love Monkeys and Light Up. Halloween is only a few days away so a few people were dressed in costumes. Another party element was the birthday of Kelly, a good friend of devoted Cherry Pie supporter Dawn Farris. Of course Dawn spared no expense to properly embarrass Kelly on this special occasion which included a good dose of the "Johnny Treatment" on-stage right before Dawn's favorite song "Dead or Alive". On the song "Everything About You" John Griffith of the band Wallstreet came up to sing. Some people were noticing how muscular and toned John's body is. Now, our own Johnny Spandex is pretty buff himself leading him to ask if they should have a "pose-down". Perhaps a pretty good idea, maybe some other time (we'd have to plan it in advance to make sure both competitors had the chance to be properly oiled). What do you think? - Josh |
