The club was pretty empty only minutes before showtime making us fear a bad night, but that turned around in a hurry and it quickly became obvious that this would be our best Studio East show ever. The large crowd was full of colorful characters and beautiful women. One person fitting both descriptions was a young bachelorette who was dancing near the stage during "Turn Me Loose". She was wearing a "Suck for a Buck" T-Shirt covered with Life Saver candies. During the song's guitar solo John ran into the dressing room and returned to the stage with a handful of dollar bills. The woman joined us on stage and one-by-one we each "sucked for a buck" while continuing to play the song. It was hilariously exciting. Some of our friends who traveled to Green Bay for the show included Sheryl Swanke, Sue Swanke (thanks for the help with the hair), Stephanie Roix, Julie Hoffman, Holly Vila, Connie Aney, Tom Birkenmeyer, Christine Schmitz, Kim Schmitz, Nikki Schmitz and Derek Schmitz. We discovered two people celebrating birthdays on this night, Mam Meyer and sound tech Jay Cole. Although they didn't know each other John suggested that Mam and Jay dance a slow song together which they gladly did. Some of our Green Bay friends in attendance included Shelly Boehm, Gary Christianson, Jerry St. John, Jolee Jackson, Keith Pratt of the band At Fault and Lisa Ann Nero who brought out her husband Justin Nero and their friends Kathy Benoit and Ken Roper. Other new folks I was fortunate enough to chat with included Sue Wanberg, Jaime LaCroix, Mike Taylor, Mark Derouin, Brenda Siddons and Paula Dworak. I also met Scott Petri and Danny Blanchard of the band Demonswrath. We were pleased to hear the club's management commend us on how well we kept the crowd until the very end. They even indicated that this night was a good sign that perhaps the club is beginning to shed it's intimidating "biker" image of recent years, and is returning to being the popular mainstream rock club it once was.    -Josh
