A Word from Dave:
When we first learned that we were scheduled to play at the University of Steven's Point for their homecoming party we thought: "A big hair band for a homecoming?" - we were a bit skeptical to say the least. And now, after the fact, I'm still not sure what happened. After about four or five songs we seemingly won over a somewhat tentative crowd - the dance floor was full, the energy level was high, and The Pie had them rockin' all the way until the end of our first set, climaxing when stage tech O.J. rushed onto the stage, fire exstinguisher blazing, to take care of the drum riser, the front of which had been ignited by one of the pyro shots on "I Was Made for Lovin' You". This brush with danger seemed only to add to the excitement. By "Pour Some Sugar on Me" we definitely had them eating out of our hands. Then we experienced something that has never happened to us before, something I can only describe as "premature evacuation". Immediately following our first set the Homecoming King and Queen were announced and the party was over. My guess is that the party was just getting underway somewhere else, somewhere that had... oh I don't know... BEER! Well, we still had a good time getting away for the weekend, and remember we're also available for weddings and barmitzvahs.    - Dave
