Band on Stage |
A Word from Nick: Hi fans, how are you? It's been a long time since I've written the commentary for one of the Cherry Pie shows so I may be a little out of practice but I am willing to give it the old college try. Here it goes, this past Saturday night was the return to "O'Brien's" in Milwaukee. The band had not been there in a long time and with it being a favorite spot for Cherry Pie to play we were all eager to be back. Also, we were the first band back at "O'Brien's" to kick off their Fall music schedule. I really don't have anything that sticks out in my mind as being something that I should be sure to write about. Because overall it was a pretty smooth night for the band and everyone there. We had a good crowd, the band played good and no one was hurt, killed or dismembered. So, really what can I say? However, I would like to single out one individual and give quiet man of the band a little well-deserved praise. That's right - I'm talking about Monstro Libido! I've been noticing for a while now at just how alive the crowd responds to C.P.'s 5-string bass player when Monstro comes alive to sing "Talk Dirty to Me." It seems like it's that point in time when the gloves come off and the crowd really begins to get into the music that we are playing. This guy has got so much energy when he is on stage that you can't help but get sucked into the frenzy that IS Monstro Libido! Well, anyway, I've got to get rolling so in closing I would just like to thank all of the fans for their continued support and we look forward to seeing you and the next show. - Jack Hammer |
