A Word from John:
Well, with all of the disturbing things going on in the world lately, it was good to a have a reason to party and celebrate for a while. We had many birthday parties going on this evening. One of our most loyal fans, Julie Hoffman, made the drive all the way from Milwaukee to celebrate her birthday with us; but little did she know that this was only one of many celebrations going on. Also throwing birthday parties with us were Belinda Buel (a high school classmate of mine), Karla Frish, and another close friend, Teresa Andrews. Although when we did our rendition of "Happy Birthday," Teresa was nowhere to be found. Rumor has it that she was in the ladies room possibly "getting sick" but we had no confirmed reports :). Also making the trek from Brew City was Cherry Pie faithful and Julie's good friend, Stephanie Roix; and another C.P. Regular, Tom Birkenmeier. Many friends were out on this night, really too many to mention, but I must acknowledge Sharon Rowly for helping out on vocals for "Lovin', Touchin' Squeezin'." Good job Sharon. We also had a somber moment when we had to acknowledge the fact that this is a very troublesome time in our great nation and we played "When the Children Cry" for our Madison crowd. This song speaks of a new world of peace and love which is something that we all hope and pray for. With an excellent turnout again, our spirits were lifted somewhat and we enjoyed another night of music, family and friends. As time goes on, I'm sure wounds will heal and we will all be stronger as long as we stay united both as fans of music and as Americans. Thanks again and see you next week.    - johnny s.
