A Word from Josh: It felt great coming into this show. Badger Bowl is one of our best rooms and we knew that there was a lot of buzz about the band leading up to this night. This was our first show back in Madison since the big Newspaper Article and our first show anywhere since winning our WAMI Award so if we were ever going to expect a good turn-out, this was the night. Indeed the show was well attended. People have learned that you have to get there early to get a good seat at a Cherry Pie show so an hour and a half before showtime we found ourselves sound-checking in front of about 100 people. Many more followed, filling the room to near capacity by the time we hit the stage with our big hair and outrageous outfits. Speaking of which, I was glad to be wearing some new stage-clothes that were made for me recently by my friend Jody. Believe me, for me to have cool stage clothes I need them to be custom-made because I'm pretty hard to fit, so I really appreciate Jody's skilled work. Anyway, the new clothes included some tight snake-skin pants with laces up the sides (you know, Britney Spears pants). A couple of my band-mates commented on how the pants "showed off my balls." Well, in spite of this (or perhaps because of it) the clothes were a big hit with many in the crowd. I also wore a revealing mesh shirt and accessorized with a headband, boots, a cool belt and a bunch of 80's style bracelets including one with plastic cherries attached given to me by my friend Brandi. However, one important accessory is still in the works. With the help of a new fitness center in the building where I work, I expect to be able to provide a better body to go with my killer outfit. - Josh |
