A Word from Shane:
Several weeks off and our comeback included back to back shows. We just came off a great night (late night) on Friday in Madison and it was time to get back up for another beer drinkin', ear ringing, pyro flaming, confetti flying, hair spray smelling 80's rock experience. I certainly don't feel we were as sharp as we would have liked to have been, but none the less the result was just as effective. The layout of the stage at this club lends itself to the stage becoming the dance floor and friends let me tell you their was some dirty dancing going on. Johnny had several girls at a time using his body for a little "bump and grind". I don't think he was complaining in fact, for some reason, he began to rock a little harder. It was also a special night because the rock and roll porn star drummer Jack Hammer celebrated his birthday. During our break Johnny got Jack to take his place in the center of the dance floor were Jack was ceremoniously showered with silly string. Jack or "Pretty" (as the girls call him) looked like Cousin It from the Adams Family when the silly string canisters were exhausted. It was nice to be able to celebrate Jack's birthday with him and now that he is "of age" maybe his parents won't have to bring him to the shows any more. We had plenty of the regulars in attendance as well as a bunch of new faces. Some of the true die-hards included Maribeth Luetdke, Erika Kaegler, Natalie Loppnow, Lonnie Stinewal, Chris Stinewal, Sheila Tate, Stacy Hackl, Colleen Evans, Julie Hoffman, Stephanie Roix, Barb Prueher, Rachel Lapalme and Julie Keller. When all was said and done the dance floor was littered, everybody's ears were ringing, and the hair spray gave way to the sweat, all common results of another ass kicking' Cherry Pie Show. Foe those of you who came out, THANX, for those who have seen us but couldn't make it we hope to see you again soon, for those of you who haven't made it to a CP show GET OFF YOUR ASSES AND LET'S ROCK!
Later...     - Shane
