Faces in
the Crowd
The last time we played at Dinero's (1/21/00) there was a good crowd, but we couldn't take credit for it because Mancow Muller was part of the bill. Tonight the crowd was just as good and this time we CAN take credit. This was what is known in the business as a "very successful show". Unlike last week in Green Bay, we seemed to hit the target with each song. The audience showed its appreciation for what we were doing at every opportunity and it was very gratifying. One of the reasons for the success was Dawn Farris, a bartender at O'Brien's who was so taken by the band when we played there on 1/29 that she promised to show up at Dinero's with a bunch of friends. She delivered big time (she'll be working at O'Brien's when we play there again next Saturday). Others in the crowd who I was fortunate enough to chat with included Jennifer Ring, Liz Domoracki, Lonnie & Chris Stinewal, Kristine Andres, Lisa Kelm, Rebecca Dalsanto, Lynn Teselle, William Gradl, Matt Gardner, Patty Lewis, Chuck Wiske, Kathy Reuteler, Julie Bloom, Susan Schudiske and Kelly Feldmann. There were some musicians in the crowd including Tom Birkenmeyer, Eddie de Bie of Hyde Park, Scott Weber & Jake Conner of the Michael Jahnz Project and John Hauser & Scott of The Love Monkeys along with their booking agent Neil Hawes. The club's DJ Vic Manchester enjoyed himself, spending a lot of time on the dance floor and even some on stage singing parts of the Motley Crue songs. Overall, it was an excellent night for us and we look forward to returning to Dinero's more than ever. -Josh
